King Crimson - Red [1974]

Earlier this year I wrote an article - you can read here, and if you have not heard do it now same because it is a delicacy - about album In The Court Of The Crimson King King Crimson , but King Crimson is much more than an excellent album, is an excellent career and it's time to show you his second job that I am more familiar, is entitled Network also consists of five topics as the previous one and also one of the tops of rock progressive era that includes the end of the sixties and seventies party.

After a series of comings and goings of musicians for the group and a trail of great albums - Lizard , In The Wake of Poseidon , a direct means entitled Starless and Bible Black and, well, other - Robert Fripp, guitarist and leader of King Crimson basically - because it was the only member who has been in the band during their active years - already had a fairly cohesive and strong - despite the departure of David Cross , he did not feel comfortable with their position in the group - and began to record this album. It should be noted around one of the founding members, Ian McDonald, whose magnificent contribution commented near the end of the article and put a nice snap to this work.

1974: King Crimson was already a consolidated group that moved masses.

If something can be characterized the way to start the album, making it a topic titled like the album, Red , is by its avant-garde, I am sure that if I tried to colárselo to any fan of Dream Theater as his theme, make it. It is a medium-length instrumental song, notable for its guitar melodies so curious about these strange rhythms, a job excellent battery, a special part with something quieter reminds cellos - but not cellos! - which again leads to repetition of the original parties, what they call a great song. The song that follows, entitled Fallen Angel, in my opinion weakens a bit but it's basically because it has a beginning that I love - although last minute and a half sounds much better, with great choruses - and also because it is placed between two incredible tracks. One More Nightmare , the song that follows, and I, fool me because it cojonuda, I had not bothered to listen too quite remember but Red another style, incorporates a saxophone phrasing and even a pat, changes of pace throughout the track, the whole musical exhibit makes clear that gender without King Crimson would not be half of what it is today. Intermediate

to go to the bar - nothing -. Providence

... well, let's say Providence Network is the album that Moonchild the album In The Court Of The Crimson King, even occupy the same place in the organization of the topics on the disc, but it really is just under Mars, more listenable and more affordable, but indeed the case as Moonchild but exactly the opposite: begins with musicians who are fighting with their instruments and ends with something else ... traditional music, and this is from the sixth minute or so, but I encourage you to listen to the song carefully and enrich your ear with a cutting edge wonder the likes of this. To end the album chose a jewel, I would say the best of the album, the song is called Starless , begins in a very calm with violins, a sweet voice singing a beautiful melody, winds and guitar to accompany the voice background sometimes taking the role ... and, midway through the fourth minute change of style, the atmosphere changes, marks a repetitive rhythm guitar long, ascending melody, and after a few minutes of eerie crescendo, all this leads to an incredible musical frenzy crushing force, the rate becomes much faster and the alto saxophone Ian McDonald becomes the protagonist unleashing a maelstrom of jazzy improvisation delicious and after a final part epic and orgasmic simply ends the disc.

How about, right? Did not I open the head to anyone with that brick? For pulling, now listen to the album, which is very good. Until next time.
