Vultures - Vultures Crooked Them [2009]

For reasons beyond my control I had to pick up some old articles, but as nothing happens with discs yeah I'll reupload. It sucks to have to do, but what is, well, so the blog seguíais not then you can download and listen to them and such. The first one he has had to be the supergroup's debut album Crooked Them Vultures, homonymous entitled. The big question is bolognas: Who are these people? The answer could not be simpler: the fucking masters. Let me explain.

turns out that Josh Homme - that you will sound this , this and this - is like a musical cornucopia, creativity and ingenuity never exhausted, and on top of a telephone book has already has wanted for himself Giacomo Casanova. What? Well, every so often must bore the boy and pulls great musician phone to call the host to do things. Last year they fell to Dave Grohl - with that previously worked and Queens of the Stone Age - ya, attentive, John Paul Jones. We're talking about a group of people who have been in groups the size of Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age, Foo Fighters, Eagles of Death Metal ... What can we expect from this? Slut custard, folks.

From left. to right: John Paul Jones, Josh Homme and Dave Grohl. Almost nothing.

The album came out last year around this time around - although in fact the project itself dates from 2005 - and since then I have not tired of hearing, nor I, nor nosecuantocientas thousand people, that there but take a look at the group's page on Last.fm to see that the disk has been a triumph, no less than seven million listeners in a year or so. Not bad.

As it is quite logical considering that is a project of Josh Homme - one of many - because it sounds much, both the vocals and choruses as guitar riffs or vocal effects are details that are his personal stamp, but the other two musicians also bring some of his own musical character and this forms a sort of hard rock with touches of stoner, psychedelia and all very dynamic, highly nuanced to QOTSA. The album is very regular, maintains a high level from beginning to end without being tired and that is welcome, certainly deserves a listen. Hale.
