Come, now I'm procrastinating a lot.
Good, dear, I wish you a happy new year with a little bit late, and it seems to me that I still surf. I hope you all had a nice holiday, which I have given and all that cool stuff, and I, as tradition and, on New Year's Eve ate the twelve things-that-never-were-grapes - this year are berries - and then I went out to drink up all the pools, vases and rivers of geography Alicante, even tried some tree-racking, I think. Nothing fancy.
As quite have not updated among other things because I had to write something to a literary contest chustero which I do not trust a lot but hey, I'll put one of those records that never fail, one of the jokers that all blogger engaged this should have saved one of those who do not wear because you assume that people know him, but in reality is not so true. Which at this point does not know Nick Cave honestly deserves death, but hey, in my infinite generosity will forgive me, and so the way he already knows but has not heard this disc may take to find my favorite album of this genius its bad seeds, which is titled Murder Ballads and is what puts it, songs about murder, is not it bad publicity for a first impression, right?
ATTITUDE.
If you say that there as an artist to express what feelings better than Nick Cave in their songs, as I see little questionable. What feelings? That depends on each one. This is not an artist who needs to use great music gimmicky tricks to get inside the people through his music, his voice deep enough expressive and devastating lyrics. His musical style is hard to define, I read that put it in the blues, also in the rock, even in the post-punk - I can not explain it very well - but I prefer to say that is more obscure, moody and elegant than that, he walked the path opened, among others, the great Tom Waits, and is absolutely at the height of names like that. No exaggeration.
Cave In album features collaborations with high level and the lovely PJ Harvey - which was his girlfriend - in Henry Lee, and also that of Kylie Minogue - who was also his girlfriend, go two - in Where the wild roses grow , which is a pretty famous song and I guess that at least sound. These two songs I mentioned earlier, along with Stagger Lee are my favorite album, but even if we removed the disc would be a pretty good job anyway, there is no bad song, each one is different, each has a terrible and exciting story and all are equal of seduction. There are other high-level collaborations on the disc, but having mentioned as PJ, hardly worth your time commenting.
The cover is not very pretty but it does not matter much, the content is eighty times better. One of these essential records of one of those essential artists I post because I'm a bit out of ideas as it could raise the White Album by the Beatles. A masterful album, beautiful, exciting, almost perfect. Enjoy.
