Figueras Sant Carles de la Rapita Port de la Selva Barcelona Cadaques Girona Banyoles Agullana Sabadell Portbou Llers I get in a small office in his home, an apartment located a few meters from Plaça Cerdà Barcelona. Just let me get perplexed: "Thou son of Peter and grandson in Agullana Reyes. Very few people know why I had my grandfather's house in Agullana. Before you start a conversation full of anecdotes, John Guillamet me a demonstration of his memory and his high degree of knowledge of the people of the Empordà, despite his 89 years. Guillamet went to live in Barcelona 45 years ago, but has never ceased to keep in touch with the Empordà Figueres, which are a reference in all his work.
when I lived in Figueres, is funded by the life lessons?
Yes, did English literature, but also taught Latin, first in the college of Fossos (La Salle) and then to the Institut Ramon Muntaner de Figueres.
Apart from dedicating yourself to teaching also did collaborations doing journalistic work?
My vocation was writing. But I saw that this alone will not win me well enough life and I seek a career in the world of education. But I must say that I've been teaching too well, and I have been very important satisfactions.
journalistic vocation either young or did you start writing large?
My first article I wrote when I was twelve.
In twelve years! Where did you publish?
In a local publication, Parish Life, Figueres. It's funny because I did it in Catalan, although I, in twelve years, but had not studied.
Since then have not stopped doing as a journalist?
not. I always go doing things periodically, but in fact, I started to write a more regular basis in the media until I get the square property professor at the School of Salerno.
To understand the work more systematic journalistic where did you start? He was a correspondent
literary El Noticiero Universal Barcelona, although I first started writing under the pseudonym Hugh Wheel. Hugh
Wheel?
Hug, accounts for Empúries conference, for what Sant Pere de Rodes. It interested me that people knew who I was writing, even if we know already ended. In these first
Articles tractàveu which themes?
wrote a kind of chronic or permanent section of Figueres, which is published every week and said that issues of local and regional news. I remember that article writing machine put it in an envelope and sent to Barcelona through a carrier that had arrived in the editorial of the newspaper. Remember
any particular stage of that disease?
Absolutely! It was an event in Figueres: in 1961 the city did have them a tribute to Salvador Dali. I wrote a chronicle of a flat in El Noticiero Universal, illustrated with photographs. It was the largest which was published in all newspapers of Barcelona, and this I went there rather against, and was very critical of Dali. We knew
with Dali?
We had tried on several occasions. He had gone to see his home in Portlligat, and I always had a normal behavior. And why, when he said that there were journalists around, began to eccentricities. I do not think he ever.
In 1961, it was the same year that you get a literary prize?
Yes, Antonio Puig Rabbit prize in the Floral Games of the Empordà, by devouring love story, a kind of literary tale.
It was not the only award you've won?

Years before, in Banyoles, in the Floral Games of 1948, I got an honorable mention, and in 1971, the prize for his book Catalònia Things and people of the Empordà. I also was named favorite son in Figueres, and I think I must be Figueres of the few who have given this recognition in life. Also in the Alt Empordà Regional Council gave me an award. Apart from
"Ciera" did collaborate with other media?
I collaborate especially with El Correo Catalan, but also articles in La Vanguardia, Avui, Telexprés, The Point Newspaper, and various magazines such as Sierra Gold, Tele-Star, Presence, and Canigou Magazine Girona. The Parish Life and Ampurdán, Popular Radio and Figueres.
did you get involved in a project journalism?
in Figueres after the war, all that was published had to go through censorship, and a friend of mine, Miquel Alabrús, which also liked journalism, we decided to publication. So to avoid going through the censorship we agree with the rector of the parish to remove a sheet of paper as a supplement parish. It is called Great, and appeared as an organ of the Youth Catholic Action Figueres. It was published in 1948. The composition did with a print manual: not yet had the linotype. We came to publish a pair of numbers, because the authorities complained to the rector, and he finished the paper. After
did you moved to Barcelona you had obtained a place in a school. Then you did leave journalism?
In Barcelona I continue writing. Collaborated especially in
Sunday editions of several newspapers. What issues
tractàveu? In The Mail
Catalan, I did a series on the country, I think it was called the Catalan coast bird's eye view. It turns out that a cousin of the woman had taken the title of pilot and would fly from the Sabadell aerodrome. I had gone with him and the photographer John Rosa, a Salellas great professional, awarded the City of Barcelona. The three had flown by the entire coast from Port Bou to Sant Carles de la Rapita, and I had been doing a series of articles on the view from the air of the Catalan coast. From the sky there is no sign saying that there is such people and on occasion I was wrong in identifying some people. El Correo Catalan is where I work longer, and where it was more a journalist with many reports.
Literary Chronicle, reports and more?
I also do art criticism Noticiero El Univeral, in collaboration with Rafael Santos Torroella
In those years in Figueres were literary circles, cultural or other kind?
in Figueres with Manuel Brunet, who was a journalist with history Ucelay Dr. Antonio Bosch, Eduard surrounds the painter Raphael and Lemon, among others, had a discussion on the Sport of Figueres.
spoke What?
There was talk of politics, and a bit of everything. Then, Brunet, who wrote every week, under the pseudonym Romano, Destination, had a column called The World and politics. There he wrote about many topics that we discussed at the gatherings. In
remember any anecdote? In
Brunet worked all night and six in the morning went to sleep until lunchtime and then again in the afternoon the Sport. With this system, wrote the book pages of the life of Jesus Christ. It was a very pious man, and say that some of the chapters of the book he wrote on his knees.
was contertulià in other groups?
was very friend of Foix, the poet. It came much to the Port de la Selva and there, with Ismael Planells, we organized the awards of Tina. The first prize of Tina Golden was the painter Fernandez Pijuan. It was also a close friend of Escofet Ibanez, who came from Cadaques and then took a house in Campmany. For some years we do a lot.
His book People and things of the Empordà, is a reflection the locals, their customs, and some characters? There had been
this title m'el changed the editor. After I published Wind north, people from north, where I explain Coml north wind influences the people and explain how some experts. There is a gallery of people tramuntanada. The last three books was the flat, wind, people. Everything is a trilogy about the Empordà and its people. You did make
black market?
Maybe. I published another book, All we have black market, which explains some anecdotes on the subject. It is always like that passed through the border on a bicycle and never found anything, and eventually discovered every day spent on a bicycle black market.
are also a specialist on the witchcraft? I wrote a book
envelopes witches of Catalonia, and for some years I did a sort of pilgrimage throughout Catalonia giving speeches and lectures envelopes witches. We did
inspired Fages de Climent Llers and witches? In
something because in all my books, one way or another, there comes the Empordà Figueres. But basically I followed John Amades, which made the book, witches and sorcerers.
Reviewing your career, we always stop Empordà Figueres or, but did go to live in Barcelona, in what year?
In 1966 my family moved to Barcelona, but there I never lost contact.

She whispers in my ear
hundreds of I want you,
my girl, my pretty little girl

sharpens thousand songs,
her soft voice is my joy,

in a book often
and write "I love you mami "
What a pleasure to read!
On nights when it

that retell a story
and together in their bed
we go back, no time,
to the place where everything
forget and there are no fears,
or cuckoos, or bad witches ,
only princesses and a sky
where angels sing
and everyone is very good.
My child, my beautiful girl

Waterproof Mechanics Gloves

Anna Calvi - Anna Calvi [2011]

Rejoice, because we're in luck. Among so many straw published so far this year, I am happy to say that I bring the first major work of 2011, because the Radiohead ... PSE, and PJ Harvey - Let entitled Shake England, should you want to search, I do not think it up - not even a shadow of his best albums, but still good because after all is the case of PJ. It will not be the last time you read the name of PJ Harvey in this article, of course, but way to what interests you: what the hell you're talking hard, man? Well if I misled a bit and I do not hear me, because it is not the release sonadísimo seventh album by this artist Multivent, is the first LP of a largely unknown artist of great talent but to give you an idea, worked opening for Grinderman - the other group of Nick Cave - and has received rave until the very Brian Eno, big words. Calvi is Anna and I will put your ass backwards.

If you fall, you lose and you have to provide comment. Ahh! Are the rules.

Who the fuck is this girl? And above all, what makes for me to say so many nice things about her? It is an English singer of Italian descent but, as its name clearly indicates, twenty years. Not only sings, plays guitar and also I have to say it very well, I do not mean it can be accompanied with four chords and a motif facile as it might be natural and more or less all professional singers can do, I mean that this girl has a really good technique, a crushing feeling and a lovely sound - Fender Telecaster + VOX AC30 = success, always -. Skeptics may chasten here. Returning to his voice and personality is unique, deep and sweet, but also draws on many influences it's impossible to hear the record and no memory of Jeff Buckley -also how he plays guitar-, Ute Lemper and the color of the voice and even a little bit Florence and quite PJ Harvey for the singing and obviously the style of music ... no coincidence that the album was produced by Rob Ellis, head sound fairly straightforward PJ, and needless to say that in this respect the record is perfect, without error, an exquisite production.

The disc itself is straightforward, concise, enjoyable. Is not hard or long, is not monotonous, ten songs, that's it. Could have been more -does not include issues Jezebel or Moulinette , previously published single- formats but has simply not been. Nothing fancy footwork, no tricks: a hard smooth, simple, retro. An incredible voice, a guitar with reverb and a little more, a round product. There are issues as Blackout radiables or Desire, but I think in the record that Anna is most striking in songs like The Devil , I'll Be Your Man , Suzzane and also I , where the main attraction of the finest songs is not production but simply to Anna and her virtuosity, both vocal and instrumental. And deservedly, no doubt.

Ovulation And Sharp Pain In Thign

* I would be *

I wish I were a maid again
and find a great love for Life,
never causes me no injury,
love that sparkle like a star.
That your eyes look more beautiful,
fan of soul and heart,
of soft kisses, full of emotion
to mitigate pain and remnants,
ever incapable of breaking grievances,
my eternal source of inspiration.

I enjoy your hugs,
enjoy petting transparent
listening eloquent words,
without fear of ridicule and rejection.
A flood of arrows affection
mistresses, winter coat,
a sensitive caring, gentle, tender,
with infinite tenderness in his big eyes.
I would join him with soft ties,
to enjoy sublime eternal love ...
